I’ve been practicing PT for almost 25 years; however, it wasn’t my first career. While still a junior in high school and not yet 18, I joined the US Army following the footsteps of my grandfather who fought at Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. Although qualifying for any MOS, I enlisted into the infantry and served 2 years active duty and 6 years army national guard. My service took me to Georgia, Texas, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq while earning the Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, SW Asia Service Ribbon, Kuwaiti Liberation Medal, and Saudi Defense Ribbon with the 1st Cavalry Division.
My time away from the US taught me an appreciation for my country and family. My time contemplating my mortality taught me to make the most of my life. With this new found inspiration, I worked and financed my way through 7 years of college achieving a Master’s degree in physical therapy.
I returned home to central PA to start a family and raise them near their extended family. After the birth of my 3rd and 4th children (twins!) in 2005, I founded Beck Therapy with the goal to improve the health of my home town community through the prevention of work-related injuries.
I have implemented what I call “Veteran values” in my daily life. I will go the extra mile to help my clients. I am experienced, trustworthy, and committed to achieving their goals.
With over 15 years of industrial rehabilitation experience, Beck Therapy is skilled at treating such injuries as rotator cuff strains/tears, neck strains, low back strains, elbow tendinosis, wrist strains, thumb tenosynovitis, trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, ACL tears, meniscus tears, and ankle sprains, just to name a few.
